Jeff Young

Jeff serves as Minister of Education of one of the largest Sunday Schools in the world: Prestonwood Baptist, which has three campuses in the Dallas, TX area.

A native of Tennessee, Jeff was educated in Texas at Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned his master of religious education in 1990.

Jeff has been in full-time ministry since 1989, including four years at First Baptist Church, Springdale, Ark., where he served as Executive Pastor before coming to Prestonwood in 2008. Prior to that, Jeff served as Minister of Spiritual Development at First Baptist Church, Euless; Executive Pastor at North Richland Hills Baptist Church in Fort Worth; and Minister of Education and Administration at North Fort Worth Baptist Church, where he was ordained. He has served as Minister of Education in churches in Virginia and Alabama as well.

An author, Jeff has written web articles for ministers and pastors, and Bible study lessons for LifeWay Christian Resources. He is the author of My Daily Journey, a spiritual development journal, and the book Need a New Hook?(LifeWay, 1996).

As a conference speaker, Jeff has traveled the country from North Carolina to New Mexico, helping to educate and train laymen and ministers for spiritual leadership and church growth. He is the president of e2 Consulting, a ministry designed to meet the needs of pastors and staff as they navigate the challenges of leading their church.

In 2000, Jeff was honored by the Baptist Association of Christian Educators as the Outstanding Young Christian Education Leader.

Jeff and his wife, Carol, live in Carrollton and have three children, Emily, Brett and Bryce.
